The Holzem Twins, Sandro and Juliano Holzem made their debut in the ADAC GT4 Germany this weekend at Oschersleben, Germany. It was the first time for them in an official race in car-racing.

After a few years racing the European and German championships of karting, this season the Holzem Twins made their debut into GT racing with the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Dörr Motorsport.

The Holzem Twins focused the Friday practice sessions to make race simulations. That meant driving with a very big amount of fuel, which meant, that the lap times were not significant.

On Saturday, Juliano Holzem was in charge of Qualifying 1. The driver from Polch was constantly running in the top10 positions, but when qualifying had the checker-flag he saw himself at seventeen position. That lap was only two tents worse than a top10 lap.

Starting from seventeen place, Juliano Holzem had a difficult start, but he managed to keep on track and make up a few positions. At half point of the race, Juliano came in to change the driver. Now it was Sandro Holzem moment to take the Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

Sandro was involved in a few incidents during the race while fighting for the last points positions. At the checker-flag, the number 97 of Dörr Motorsport was in twenty-first position.

After this debut race, Sunday started similarly to Saturday. Sandro Holzem was at the steering-wheel of the Cologne Watch sponsored car, when he finished in eighteen position during qualifying.

At Oschersleben starting from the outside is not a bad thing, and Sandro Holzem made the most from the start. During the opening laps he was consolidating a very good comeback.

When he came to the pit lane for driver change, Sandro Holzem was running in thirteen position. But then the race stopped for the Holzem Twins who had to retire due to a water leak from the radiator, which did not allow Juliano Holzem to do any lap during Sunday.

It was a missed opportunity for the Holzem Twins who where fighting for the podium positions in Junior class.

The next race of the season will be held at Red Bull Ring, Austria, from 20 to 22nd of May.
